CLAPS - Upper Elementary - February 20

The next Upper Elementary CLAPS game night will be on Friday, February 20th from 7-9 pm.

Bring one of your baby pictures for a fun contest! (Write your name on the back.)

CLAPS is a monthly Friday night "Hang-Out/Game Time" at the Morristown office, for former and current students from both my Pittstown and Morristown offices.

It is a place to hang out & play games, but with structure and reason behind the activities. The activities will have social thinking purposes:

  • Socializing
  • Playing new/different games
  • Being with both new and familiar people
  • Experiencing new things & practicing them in a real situation
  • Conversation, asking questions, using your noodle, complimenting, getting to know others, etc.

Throught the night there will be games set up for 2-4 players. There will also be whole group activities: for example: singing rounds, musical performances, magic, or skits. Of course there will be flexibility in how students may want to participate (i.e. if you are not a singer, maybe you play an instrument, or you may be the "conductor" for your group when we sing rounds). Of course, we all need to "Bend Our Brains."

Putting Pittstown and Morristown students together will help to form new relationships and something to look forward to each month. It gives everyone more practice at larger get-togethers.
